A.M. Bhattacharjees Muslim Law and the Constitution

The new edition of this thought-provoking work expresses the opinion that a considerable portion of the Muslim Law with special reference to law of marriage and talak has failed to consort with the spirit of the Constitution. It advocates the introduction of a Uniform Civil Code as prescribed by Art. 44 of the Constitution. It is hoped that the work remains as useful as it was in its earlier editions.
